Only setup fees of €2.00 /IP (or €2.46 incl. VAT) are required, renewal is free. Beyond 16 IPs, €2.00 /month/IP (or €2.46 incl. VAT) limited to 128 IPs and/or 16 slots per server.

i think that mean not max 16 ip , but I have free monthly 16 ip and for additional I will pay 2 euro per month per Ip? right ?

my main point is this servers is used and maybe faulty ?

thanks

The servers are not faulty, they might be used – but disks are usually brand new, or used less than 1000 hours (actually they tend to use disks from different batches as well to avoid disks failing at same time).

Also sometimes they build new servers, it’s really based on if they have older generation hardware laying around, or if a customer cancel their server, the server is usually recycled (ensuring that everything works, and usually plugging in new disks).

I have a server here:
- /dev/sda: Used for 7591 hours (316 days)
- /dev/sdb: Used for 11379 hours (474 days)

The server was bought 316 days ago, so one disk was new, and one disk had been running for 158 days (about 5 months).
Both disks are very healthy anyway, so I personally do not care.

If a disk fails it will get replaced quickly, and the disks are enterprise grade anyway. Meaning they can run for a very very long time.

Sure – might be used hardware, but it costs like 40 euro for 2x2TB disk, E3-1245v2, and 32GB memory.
Also majority of datacenters reuse their disks, because else it would be expensive to change disks every time a customer cancels their server. So if the disks are healthy, there’s no reason to not use them.

With that said, they also perform disk checks before selling the servers again.
