We’re looking to upgrade our dedicated server which we currently have with Rackspace. Rackspace are becoming too expensive for us.
I like the look of Byemark in the UK. Does anyone have experience with them? The only downside is the support doesn’t look truly 24 hours (I think between the hours of midnight and 9am you have an “emergency” email address you can contact them at). Also, emergency hardware replacement is somewhere between 4 hours and 24 hours, whereas with Rackspace I think it’s an hour. That said, we’ve only had hardware fail once in over 10 years, and we don’t require support all that much (we’re able to do our own system administration from day to day, but we’re not Linux specialists so do need hand holding occasionally). The main thing is that the setup is stable and doesn’t fall over frequently. Thank you!
